The Buddhism is a spiritual and philosophical doctrine that derives from the teaching of Buddha, ‛the one that got awake in knowledge’ that lived between the VI and the V century B.C. in India. This religion is very widespread in South-Eastern Asia and in the Far East.
The presence of a consistent Chinese community in Rome, in particular in the Esquiline area, lead to the realisation in 2005 of a worshipping place, i.e. the first Buddhist temple of Europe. It is a structure of small dimensions that has its nucleus in the altar with the statue of Buddha, where the offers are placed with incense and flowers.
